ANU School of Music student to compete in the semi-finals of the 56th Tokyo International Guitar Competition

On the 9th of December, Campbell Diamond, a third year guitar performance student at the ANU School of Music, will be flying out to Tokyo, to compete in the Semi-Finals of the 56th Tokyo International Guitar Competition. The School of Music is proud to support Campbell with his travel and assist him to take part in this incredible opportunity.

Campbell is one of only 16 finalists selected to perform and will be competing against semi finalists from across the world; Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, Spain, Austria, China, Japan and the UK. The competition takes place in the beautiful Hakuju Hall in Shibuya, and Campbell will be performing music by Antonio Jose, Domenico Scarlatti, J.K. Mertz as well as compulsory pieces by J.S. Bach and Akira Miyoshi. Six successful participants will advance to the final and perform the following evening.
