Asia and the Pacific Policy Studies Conference 2014: G20 and the Asian Century
The APPS 2014 conference focuses on the G20 Agenda under Australia’s leadership and hosting of the leaders’ meeting in Brisbane in November 2014. APPS 2014 brings together some of the world’s leading scholars and practitioners from a diverse range of policy areas for two days of presentations and discussions.
The goal of the conference is to both debate and to propose solutions to some of the world’s most pressing policy challenges that form part of the G20 agenda. The six sessions at APPS 2014 (energy policy and security; climate change policy; food policy; taxation and transfer policy; social policy; and development policy) include presentations from three leading scholars/practitioners in each session and plenty of time for discussions and Q&A from conference attendees.
Masakazu Toyoda (Chairman and CEO, The Institute of Energy Economics) will speak on energy security in North Asia during the Energy Policy session of the conference.
