Classic Japanese film series - Twenty-four Eyes

ANU’s Department of Pacific and Asian History and the Japan Institute are proud to present a series of historically and artistically significant award-winning films from Japan. Our latest series features seven films recognised as masterpieces by Kinema Junpō, one of Japan’s oldest and most prestigious film journals. All the selected films are either recipients of Kinema Junpō’s Best Japanese Film Award, or were included in the journal’s 2009 list of the top ten best Japanese films of all time.

This week's screening will be Kinoshita Keisuke’s 1954 film 'Twenty-four Eyes'.

Screenings: (Wednesdays) 4:00 P.M. start.   Light snacks will be provided.  RSVP is appreciated but not essential.
